Evan's Graduation Party

Well... I can't belive that I am blogging about Evan's graduation from high school. This girl is just like a little sister to me. Her famiily has been a part of my life since before I came into the world and for most of my life they have the only extended family that I have known. The McFarland family has been with me through every step that life has brought me to and I love them more than words could even begin to express.
Evan is the first grandchild (besides me of course) to graduate from high school. Today Nanny hosted a wonderful party to help us all celebrate this wonderful accomplishment. Of course Jones could not miss out on all the fun so he came along to enjoy some family time. Paw Paw thinks that if a baby walks, crawls, or is carried into his house then they must have a toy to play with and if they want, they can take it home with them. Well, today was no differnt. Jones entered the house and Jones recieved toys. Take a look at this video to see the new toy Jones got and how much he enjoyed playing with it.
By the way... Thanks to Evan for sharing your day with us. We love you and are so VERY proud of you!!!! More pictures to follow. :)

Jones learns a new trick

Back at Christmas Jones got a Radio Flyer Rocket. Of course he was a little to small then but he is just the right size for it now. He is learning to ride it all around the house, yard, driveway, and patio. To say the least he is quite the little pilot. I think he loves that fact that he can move around all by himself and he doesn't have to work as hard as he does when he crawls. It stopped raining for a few minutes and the sun came out so I had a few minutes to grab a couple of pics.

Always up to something

Well, Jones is 10 months old now!! I can't believe how the time has flown by. He is SO much fun right now :) Although I wouldn't want him to stay this size forever I wish I could freeze time for a while. I love just hanging out with him and watching him each time he learns/realizes that he can do something new. Spending time with him is the greatest joy in my life!! I was able to grab a quick shot just as he is realizing that he can pull while sitting in a chair.

A day at the park

A few weeks ago my good friend Tori and I took the kids to the park for a picnic and afternoon of fun. This was Jones' first visit to the park. Since he was born in July he was to small to go last summer and this was the 1st Saturday that it was warm enough to get out. He loved it to say the least!!!

Road trip to Nashville

Jones and I headed to Nashville this past week-end. We went to visit some wonderful friends the Carey's. We had so much fun! This is the first time that Trey has gotten to meet Jones and only the second time for Abbey to see him. We spent almost the entire time with Abbey, Trey was busy with work, but we did get to enjoy a great dinner with the two of them. We also visited their Church on Sunday morning. While Jones was enjoying BUMC's nursery I got the see and listen to Trey lead the congregation in a wonderful prayer!!! We are so glad that we got to hang out with them and tour Brentwood. We can't wait to see them again soon. Thanks so much for letting us come we love you guys!!

Snow Day-For Real

It snowed today at our house. We bundled Jones up and headed out to play :) Since Jones can't stand yet, he had a difficult time enjoying the snow. I sat him down on the deck but after his bottom and hands got cold he had enough. I think he would have enjoyed it more if he had not had on so many layers, 2 onesies, (one short and one long sleeve) a sweatshirt (daddy's, which we are sure he wore at 1 1/2 and Jones is wearing at 7 months) the thickest winter jacket imaginable, and then socks and shoes (which he HATES!!!). I am so glad that Jones got to experience this rare occasion at such a young age. Hopefully it will happen again soon :)
